The Organization

The initiative to organize the VeineDAGEN was launched in 2019 by the creators of Veine Magazine. The event is organized by Mariëlle Franken and Renée Ruisch.

Mariëlle Franken

Mariëlle is involved with the target group, working, among other things, as a communications consultant for a pediatric medical care institution that provides children with intensive (nursing) care and treatment on a daily basis in a child-centered environment. She works at a live communications agency, and she loves organizing trade shows and events more than anything else. In addition to her professional life, Mariëlle does a lot of volunteer work and is involved with, among other things, a foundation that supports children and young adults who require intensive and/or palliative care and/or counseling.

Renée Ruisch

As the mother of a daughter (20 years old) with multiple disabilities, Renée has long been an expert by experience and actively involved in this field. She runs her own communications agency and works for various clients.

Founder and chair of the Zomerkind Foundation and the Halte Zomervilla Foundation (which established a day center and a residential home for children and young adults with multiple disabilities)

Veine Magazine

Just like the trade show, Veine magazine’s mission is to inform and inspire. We want to keep our readers up to date on the latest medical developments, assistive devices, therapies, and all kinds of practical matters that parents and caregivers face. Among other topics, we’ll cover vacations, leisure, sports, housing, transportation, legislation, and finances.

We will not evaluate or judge the information we present. We will interview experts with firsthand experience and share their opinions, but we’ll leave it up to you, the reader, to form your own judgment.
