At the fair, more than 300 companies are ready to listen, offer support, and provide you with information and inspiration.

Our History
With the VeineDAGEN, we had always focused on children and young adults until 2023. It was a fine line, and we often noticed that both visitors and exhibitors found that distinction difficult to define. Our fair has now come of age, and so have the children we’ve welcomed over the years. This makes the step we took in 2024 all the more meaningful: an event for both children and adults.
A new addition to Utrecht, a continuation of the Supportbeurs—which has been the meeting place for people with disabilities, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals for 20 years. VeineDAGEN and ZiezoBEURS benefit from the Jaarbeurs’ experience. We’re supported by Firevaned, who, just like us, are turning the event into a huge celebration once again.
This is how we organize the largest event for all people with disabilities in the Netherlands every year.
VeineDAGEN was originally an initiative by the creators of Veine Magazine. “Veine” is pronounced “Vèhnne” and, on the one hand, stands for bliss; on the other hand, it can be translated as “blood vessel.” In addition to being a pleasant-sounding name, we found the meaning to be illustrative. A blood vessel symbolizes connection, and so does the bond between parents and a child with a disability. While other children spread their wings and become independent from their parents, these children often remain very close. If not literally physically, then certainly mentally. Furthermore, the meaning of “Veine” aligns perfectly with the vision for a conference where parents, children, and adults with disabilities—as well as others who interact daily with people with disabilities—receive positive and practical tools to better support and encourage their development. We believe that development and comfort bring happiness. And every child or adult with a disability deserves to be happy.
